Dr. Trevor M. Cook, PhD (London), MS (London), BS (Hons), FRSC, HMD, was the Founder and Consultant of Royal Champion, a research scientist, nutritionist, horse owner, and breeder.
Dr. Cook began his career as a research chemist, gaining international recognition for discovering the synthesis of Hydrosaluric, a major diuretic still prescribed by physicians worldwide.
He later became CEO of Thomas Pettifer, a long-established British equine supplement and supply company. During this time, he developed the innovative equine nutritional formulations that would
become Royal Champion.
Dr. Cook fulfilled the duties of the Royal Warrant, supplying nutritional support for the Queen’s horses in training under renowned trainer Richard Hern at West Ilsley, as well as horses at the Royal Stud at Hampton Court Palace and the National Stud.
As a racehorse owner and breeder himself, Dr. Cook worked closely with leading trainers and breeders worldwide. Horses supported by his nutritional programs have gone on to win major international races and Olympic medals.
